ULTRASONIC TESTING (UT)
Portable Eddy Current Flaw Detectors
Portable Eddy Current Flaw Detectors
The new NORTEC 600™ incorporates the latest advancements in high-performance eddy current flaw detection into a compact, durable unit. With its vibrant 5.7-inch VGA color display and true full-screen mode, the NORTEC 600 produces user-selectable, high-contrast eddy current signals.
These probes for tube inspection are lightweight but solidly constructed and use eddy current, remote field, magnetic flux leakage, and IRIS ultrasound technologies. These probes are used for ferromagnetic or non-ferromagnetic tube inspection applications.
The OmniScan™ MX ECA/ECT flaw detector is used to perform eddy current array testing inspections. The test configuration supports 32 sensor coils (up to 64 with an external multiplexer) working in bridge or transmit-receive mode. The operating frequency ranges from 20 Hz to 6 MHz with the option of using multiple frequencies in the same acquisition.
Our high-performance eddy current bolt hole scanners are available for use with NORTEC eddy current flaw detectors. Features include speed ranges from 600 to 3000 rpm, frequency ranges from 100 Hz to 6 MHz, multiple connector types, and multiple probe types.
This video discusses the inspection of carbon steel welds, showing how the NORTEC 600 eddy current flaw detector can streamline your inspection process.
The new developments for the OmniScan MX ECA/ECT flaw detector includes an Eddy Current Array Module and the new MXE 3.0 Eddy Current Array Software. These developments have reinvented surface, subsurface, and Bond Test inspection for a range of applications within the aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries.
Our TXE probes are ideal for detecting circumferential cracks, particularly those located at the edge of supports or tube sheets. The output display is an intuitive C-scan image. TXE probes can also be used to scan the whole length of the tube at very high speeds.
Remote field probes include a 32 dB preamplifier. These probes feature improved wear resistance and thicker casing, as well as improved differential response and SNR ratios. Built to detect irregularities such as pitting, corrosion, and erosion in ferromagnetic tubing, remote field probes are available in single exciter, dual pickups, and dual exciter designs.
Near-field probes offer excellent detection of internal corrosion, erosion, and axial cracking and return high-quality, amplitude-based signals that enable fast and simple data analysis. There is no need for a reference probe or extension. These probes are ideal for fin-fan carbon steel tube inspection.
Find Flaws Fast in Bolt Holes
Our handheld rotating bolthole scanners work with our line of NORTEC™ eddy current flaw detectors for the inspection of fastener, bore, and bolt holes. Ideal for aircraft structural maintenance, our scanners help you find flaws fast with high-speed (up to 3000 rpm) and high-frequency (up to 6 MHz) eddy current testing.
